Really, BBC? 1

Posted on August 18, 2011 by admin

If I hadn’t known what she was trying to say, I would have thought ‘the Borough of Kingston upon terms’ was an incomplete sentence. What terms? In actuality, the BBC misspelled one of the most famous rivers in England, Thames (pronounced “temz”).

To be fair, Amtrak is the typo culprit here, but that doesn’t say much when a train station misspells a government owned passenger rail corporation.

There really isn’t an excuse for things like this when something is typed in native English on (probably) a Word document that has a spell check.

Another misuse of apostrophes. The poor thing needs to be put out of its misery, at least on this van.

I’m not sure that spa is the best thing to relax in. Maybe it is more for aroma therapy? Nah.

Your Tax “Dallors” Really at Work in California! 1

Posted on June 02, 2011 by admin

your-tax-dallors-at-work.

I know California is close to the bottom of the best-educated states but this is just ridiculous! This picture was taken on a California highway in LA county. Maybe it’s time to start focusing more of those tax “dallors” on education. Oh wait! You guys are bankrupt aren’t you? Haha, maybe next year, eh.

Any Chair May Fell 2

Posted on June 01, 2011 by admin

Wow. The only line of text that makes any sense is the last one, where they state how much you owe if you break the chair. This one has it all: engrish, typos, and grammar problems. I officially nominate this for the non-existent Funny Typos Worst Offender Award.

At least we know the child is a female, otherwise this would be confusing.

This was an ad from a news website.  Apparently, good spelling is not a prerequisite for this job.

Chines Cusine – Who is Chines? Comments Off

Posted on April 26, 2011 by admin

Dear Funny Typos,

I live in Bangladesh and came across this gem while out with friends. I hope you enjoy as much as we did.

“Chines was definitely a good choice that evening. I particularly enjoyed their take on Prawn, Chicken and Lever Chow Mein.”

Bless them really, because the food was fantastic, despite their failed attempts at spelling.

All the best,

Allie C
